Flickr Mashups

The Flickr colour picker (or rather, Colr Pickr) is something which I must admit I found intriguing. I could sit there and click on and change colours over and over again. The pictures it brings up are simply excellent. It really shows how many people are capturing brilliant moments with their digital cameras.

I could see a great use for Flick in the Creative Arts KLA. Not only with children taking pictures themselves using photography as their media and posting to Flickr, but also for appreciating. There are some great pictures in which you could study elements such as line, colour, texture, tint and shade, and the list goes on.

I thought I'd link to a few pictures that grabbed my attention while using the colour picker. A number of them reminded me of last year's staff development day and the DVD we watched where we were challenged to look at things from a different perspective.

We love the Colr Pickr too! Lots of really amazing images - wish I was that good with a digital camera! Ali sat on my lap while I was looking at it and just loved anything that was "bloooooo!" - seems she's got the same fav. colour as you?!?
